About the Gala
The ASK Above & Beyond Gala is our community's biggest night of the year to help make life better for children with cancer and their families. Over the years, this event has gathered thousands together to raise critical funds to expand our work across the state. The funds raised at this event support our efforts to lessen the burden of a pediatric cancer diagnosis through our three areas of focus: Family Support, Educational Support, and Community and Connection.
Thank you to every guest, volunteer, performer and supporter who helped to create another impactful, record-breaking #ASKGala, filled to the brim with the magic of generosity all to support Virginia’s youngest cancer patients, survivors and their families.
Meet this year's featured ASK family: Gavin Yonce, his parents, Jenny and Russ, and brothers, Charlie and Luca. Hear from them as they offer a glimpse into their journey fighting and overcoming Gavin's pediatric cancer diagnosis, and share how ASK gave them the hope and support they needed to "kick cancer's butt!" With 6-7 childhood cancer diagnoses per week across Virginia, financial assistance, educational support, and opportunities for connection are needed now more than ever. Your support will enable ASK to continue its work to be there for our families from the moment of diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.
